Tons Recycled During
June Collection Event |
Passaic County’s “Computer and Electronics Recycling Collection” in June netted more than 15 tons (30,000 lbs.) of recyclable items over a 2-day period. Computers, keyboards, modems, copiers, and fax machines, as well as televisions, radios and stereo systems were dropped off.
“Passaic County residents and businesses have shown their support by recycling and keeping these materials out of our landfills,” said Nina Seiden, Solid Waste and Recycling Programs manager. “By recycling, toxic chemicals, such as lead, mercury and cadmium, are prohibited from entering our groundwater.”
The next Computer and Electronics Recycling Collection will be held 9 am to 2 pm on Friday, Sept. 26 & 27. |

| Principles of Gov. Corzine’s Financial Re-structuring and Debt Reduction Plan |
| “In countless
ways, New Jersey is the best state in America. But we need to invest
in our future if we're going to stay on top. As a result of decisions
made across administrations and across party lines over the past
20 years, New Jersey has amassed over $30 billion in debt and
staggering unfunded pension and healthcare liabilities. ...” |
